Why Lapiplasty®?

As the saying goes, you never realize how important your feet are until they start to hurt. And I definitely can relate to that! When I was choosing my medical specialty, I wanted to find something that could improve people's day-to-day lives in a way that they might not even realize until there's an issue. And that was the basis of my decision to become a foot and ankle surgeon - they're the foundation for everything we do. To do the things you enjoy, you must be able to walk and have the comfort to achieve those daily tasks and enjoyments. As I became more educated and aware of the field, I learned there are a variety of things that can trouble feet. I like the challenge of treating variety and find it very rewarding helping someone get back to those life enjoyments and tasks.

About Me? 

Well, first and foremost, I love being a husband and father. Spending time with my family is the best part of my life. We love to travel and try new foods, both in the States and internationally. And my daughter is at that age where everything is new and exciting, so it is truly a joy to see the world through her eyes.
When I'm not with my family, you can usually find me watching or playing sports. Football is a big passion of mine, and I played both football and basketball in high school. I also enjoy woodworking - I have spent a few years trying to learn new skillsets and use my creativity and there is something so satisfying about taking an idea and turning it into a tangible project. Lastly, I have been an avid snowboarder for many years. I love being out on the mountain and find immense freedom and relaxation being outdoors in the beautiful mountains.
